5 Sure Fire Tips For Skinny Guys To Increase Muscle Size

Do you feel that you are too skinny? Do you have a lot less confidence than you would like as a result?

These 5 tips will get you well on your way to the body that you’ve always dreamed of, and give you an amazing new confidence along with it.

Eat More

The truth of the matter is that in order for us skinny guys to begin tobuild some decent muscle the first thing that we need to do is EAT MORE!

A lot of skinny guys drastically under estimate the amount of calories that they need to be consuming, so I would definitely suggest that you start writing down your daily calories so that you can make sure you are eating enough each day.

Eat Regularly

It’s no good just eating three big meals a day if you want to increase muscle size, you need to be eating every 2-3 hours throughout the day in order to keep your body full of the much needed nutrients that you need to be able to leave your skinny body behind and say hello to a new, more muscular you.

Don’t waste money on supplements

Many people believe that if they take a load of supplements along with working out in the gym then they will see massive increase in muscle size with minimum effort. But the truth of the matter is, your better off saving your money.

An important thing to mention is the fact that most of the body building magazines that have pages and pages of supplement ads are actually owned by the supplement company’s. So of course they are going to tell you that the supplements are amazing and you must have them. When the fact of the matter is, most of them don’t work! (believe me, I’ve tried them)

Get Plenty Of Rest

This is the most simple tip of all, but a lot of people over look it. As your muscles grow while at rest not while your in the gym working out it, is extremely important to get enough rest.

You can be working out like a crazy guy in the gym, but if you don’t rest your muscles then there is no way that they will grow.

Keep At It

At first it can be very easy to give up if you don’t see immediate results, but as long as you consistently train and eat right then you will have the muscular body that you’ve always wanted.

If you follow these simple tips then you will wave goodbye to your skinny body forever and increase muscle size, just like I did.

Although that being said, there is one more thing that could mean the difference between getting the body that you want fast or struggling to gain muscle for months (like me when I first started). And that is finding a good workout program that has everything from A to Z, and for that I would definitely suggest the no-nonsense muscle building program as that is what I use and I got (and keep getting) good muscle gains.

Muscle Building Diet

When I first started trying to increase muscle size I only wish I had known everything that I know now!

I was pretty much doing everything wrong, a lot of my friends would tell me workouts to do (the wrong workouts) but nobody had ever really told me anything about how important a good muscle building diet is in the quest to increase muscle size, especially so for skinny hardgainers. So I was just eating what I would normally be eating while trying to gain muscle and obviously it wasn’t going very well, I was getting very frustrated and couldn’t work out why I wasn’t gaining muscle like everybody else was.

Then I realized my mistake and started eating some real muscle foods and I just felt much better in general as well as getting some much better results in the muscle department. Some of the foods that I just couldn’t do without these days are:

  1. Mixed nuts – If your a skinny guy trying to put on muscle then nuts are a must as they contain mono and poly -unsaturated fats (the good fats) along with plenty of protein, vitamins and minerals. Just try to make sure you go for the unsalted variety’s.
  2. Quinoa – I love this stuff, I usually have it instead of rice because it has more protein and fibre.
  3. Whole eggs – A lot of people just have egg whites or you can even get egg substitutes now but if most of the nutrients are in the yolk so please don’t just throw it away.
  4. Salmon – Is one of the best sources of omega 3 and I try to have some kind of oily fish twice a week.
  5. Broccoli – Is one of the super veggies, it is full of calcium, vitamin c etc. and it can even lower your oestrogen levels and therefore increase testosterone which equals bigger muscles.
  6. Turkey – This meat is very low in fat so is a fantastic choice when trying to build muscle.
  7. Red Meat – You’ve got to love some nice lean steaks and they are a super protein source. I really can’t understand these vegetarians.
  8. Cottage cheese – I find it very handy to always have a few pots of cottage cheese and pineapple in the fridge to have for a quick snack.
