The answer is quite simple to be honest – Lift heavy ass weights! Well maybe that’s not strictly all there is to it but a lot of guys want to gain muscle mass fast but they think that doing a few bicep curls on every workout will get them results and they are sadly mistaken. A big mistake that a lot of beginners make (including me when i first started) is thinking that more work will mean more muscle but in actual fact you are just over training, and as muscles actually get bigger when you are resting rather than in the gym working out you will not get the muscle gains you are after.
So less is more when it comes to time spent in the gym but when it comes to the actual weights that your lifting then you have got to go BIG, and it’s no good starting off with some heavy lifts and a few weeks later still doing the same. If you really want to gain muscle then you have to keep pushing yourself to do heavier and heavier weights, that is one of the reasons why it is a good idea to have a training partner so you can push each other. Ideally you would want to find a training partner who is about the same kind of size and strength as you are but that’s not always possible. If you keep going big then there is no way that you won’t be gaining muscle fast!
